Welcome to Wolvyn Creations

A little about me! My name is Audrina. I am the owner and crochet designer of Wolvyn Creations. I started crocheting summer of 2016. We spent some time cleaning out the attic of my grandparents house after a celebration of life for my grandfather who passed away from cancer. We found a ton of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks that had belonged to my grandmother, who passed away when I was 3. I was told she loved to knit and crochet so I decided to keep all the hooks and needles and try it out for myself.

I am a completely self-taught crocheter. I started learning from beginner tutorials on YouTube and fell in love with the craft. I started with blankets and small items like coasters and granny squares, but quickly learned that amigurumi is my favorite thing to crochet. Over the years I have continued to expand my crochet knowledge from watching other creators on YouTube, and challenging myself with difficult patterns in order to learn new techniques.

More than just loving to crochet, it also allows me to do something that is helpful to others. Just like many other families out there, my family has been touched by cancer. I lost my grandpa in 2015 due to ocular melanoma. He was my role model. When I was little he bought me my first violin and I've been playing ever since. I loved being able to play a duet with our violins when I visited him. Shortly later that year I lost my grandma on my dad's side to stomach cancer. Then in 2018 lost my mother in law to a rare type cancer called leiomyosarcoma.

I started making chemo caps to donate them to Knots of Love so that people who are going through chemotherapy can have something that will hopefully make them feel like someone is thinking about them. This started me on my journey to design my own patterns as I wanted to try to make a new design each month. I love that it is a craft that I can both enjoy doing, and also use my skills to help brighten people’s days or give them much needed warmth.

In 2022 I became a mom to an amazing little boy. Although it has taken some time to get used to what level of work I can output now, I am exactly where I wanted to be. I love being able to make plushies and hats for him, although he thinks every plushie I make is for him now! I also have an amazing husband that supports me with my handcrafted business and loves seeing the things I create.

I hope you enjoy my website and my work!
